 Thank you for visiting the Men of Valour web page. Men of Valour is part and parcel of the New Testament Church of God National Men's Ministries Department but is the name of identity we have adopted locally to denote our men's group. We continue to develop our program that is based on our local mission statement "Esse Quam Videri" - no need to use your spell check, let me translate! The phrase is Latin and simply means "To be, rather than to appear". This is the core of our calling; to be men as God intended rather than appear to be men as dictated by society and its ideologies. We want to be authentic and relevant; godly men that seek to be better men in every aspect of our lives. The scriptures put it like this "Show me how anyone can have faith without actions. I will show you my faith by my actions" (James 2:18b - The Good News Bible)We run a regular e-newsletter for men that covers a wealth of subject areas pertaining to men and our issues.

How can Christian Men Live in Sexual Purity?
 We can have all our TV’s and computers out in our front yard and still lust a lot in our minds all day. We can read all about God all day in the Bible and if we don't know and believe what God is saying in that Bible and get obedient to it, it's worthless. (Lowell Seashore) |
Will the Real Mr Smith Please Stand Up
Since around 1998 I had a strong desire to see the young men of our churches standing together for the purpose of helping them discover themselves as men. To demolish the façade that they are taught to uphold and give them the confidence and tools to stand up as the men God has created them to be.
